Justin Hulin

Pastor

Justin Hulin grew up in Segno, Texas outside of Livingston. He graduated from Big Sandy High School in 2001, then went on to work for a natural gas pipeline for 17 years.

He began his preaching ministry in 2018, when a local church was in need of a Pastor. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biblical Languages from LeTourneau University in December of 2022, and began preaching at Unity Baptist Church in October 2023.

Justin and his wife, Sarah, work side by side to do God's work. They have been married since 2014 and are expecting their first grandbaby sometime this October (they're very excited!). Justin is currently working on his Master's Degree in Biblical languages and is set to graduate in December 2025.

The Pastor loves talking about the Bible; there is nothing that he would rather do. He strives daily to fight the good fight of faith by speaking boldly about his Lord and Savior. You may even see him carrying signs or passing out flyers to encourage and exhort the community around our little church.

John Nordenstrom

Sunday School Director

Brother John grew up in Minnesota and has travelled the world thank to the United States Army. He was a helicopter gunner in the Vietnam War, and as he loves to tell, became a Christian when his helicopter was shot down. He called out to the Lord for salvation, and miraculously, neither him nor anyone else in the chopper was hurt. He has been a dedicated soldier of the cross ever since.

John and his wife, also named Sarah, have been married since 2005. John and Sarah both have a love for music and food (especially Bluebell ice cream!).

Although an ongoing battle with cancer has slowed John down a bit, he still gives a Bible study every Wednesday night and every Sunday morning during worship services. His anecdotes and playful stories are a delight and often get repeated by all that have heard them a time or two.
